Whilst sailing is inevitably the premier pastime in the area, other leisure activities are well catered for including a number of golf courses, swimming and windsurfing from various beaches along the south coast, and the many facilities of the Goodwood Estate including its internationally known racecourse, private health club and for hosting the Festival of Speed and the September Revival meeting at its historic motor circuit.
