1) Ordinarily resident or in full-time employment in Thornton-le-Dale, for at least five years immediately prior to occupation.

3) Have a direct close family connection ( Parents, children or siblings) who have been ordinarily a resident within Thornton-Le-Dale immediately prior to occupation.

The buyer must initially have a local connection to the Parish of Thornton le Dale, however, if after 25 days no buyer has been found from the parish, then this is extended to Lockton and Wilton and part of Allerston, if after a further 25 days still no buyer has been found, it is then extended to the whole o the National Park.
