Description

Attractive 2 bedroom renovated house with outbuildings and pretty landscaped gardens

The property is well-presented and offers accommodation over 3 floors.  It was renovated between 2006 and 2012 with new windows, doors, kitchen, bathroom, tiling, woodburner and heating system. The property had a new roof (there is some storm damage to the rear elevation of the roof which the owners are having replaced under insurance) and a pumped septic tank with a sand filter bed.  The barn roof was replaced and it was repointed in 2013.

The current owners are in the process of purchasing a small adjoining plot of land.  The larger part of garden (which they already own) falls into the allowable development area of the commune.  Viewing is highly recommended.

The property is located in Orne in the Normandy region of France. There is a café/bar in the village.  The UNESCO Heritage site of Mont St Michel is 68 km away and the coast at Granville is 79 km away. It is about 25 minutes to a 9 hole golf course Golf De Bagnoles - Route de Domfront at Bagnoles sur Orne.  The ferry ports are within easy reach - 1 hour to Caen Ouistreham, 4 1/2 hours to Calais, 2 1/2 hours to Le Harvre port or Cherbourg. It is about 2 hours 15 mins to Paris by train.  The pretty village of Lonlay l'Abbaye is about 5.5 km away.  More extensive facilities can be found in the historic town of Domfront (14km) and the town of Flers (14.5km) with a swimming pool, bowling, restaurants, shops and schools  or Vire (26km).
