There are primary and secondary schools within walking distance of the property along with a doctor's surgery, two dental practice and the newly opened Co-op store at Linhay.

The property enjoys pleasant far reaching views over Ashburton towards the green hills that surround the town. The accommodation requires modernising but has much potential. The garden lies on the far side of the property and is terraced to two areas of lawn. There is a small area of land at the front of the house on the opposite side of the road with an old shed on it.
