In recent years, Kinders has undergone an extensive programme of thoughtful improvements by the current owners. These works include complete rewiring, installation of a new boiler and radiators, and significant upgrades such as a newly fitted kitchen, and redecoration throughout. A wood-burning stove set within a striking inglenook fireplace further enhances the character and warmth of the home.
The property is beautifully presented throughout, retaining a wealth of original features including exposed beams, window seats and traditional flagstone floors, which combine to create a home full of charm and character.
The self-contained annexe provides flexible accommodation, comprising a bedroom, shower room, lounge, kitchen and a small conservatory, and benefits from new bottled-gas central heating making it ideal for guests, multi-generational living or potential rental use.
Outside, the property is complemented by a number of useful outbuildings, including a stone barn (part two-storey with a vaulted ceiling to the remaining section) and a former stable block with tin roof, now arranged as storage areas, workshop and stores.
The generous garden extends to just over a quarter of an acre, offering ample outdoor space, while a gated driveway from the village road provides parking for several vehicles.
The main house accommodation comprises four bedrooms, a family bathroom and a long landing on the first floor. On the ground floor there is a spacious newly fitted kitchen/dining room, boot room, ground floor shower room, and a small entrance hall with pretty tiled floor, leading into the impressive living room, featuring the inglenook fireplace and flagstone floors. An internal hall with reading area provides access to a good-sized study and the staircase to the first floor.
Overall, this is a wonderfully characterful village home offering versatile accommodation, attractive gardens, and excellent outbuildings, set within one of East Devon`s most desirable rural locations.
