Description
This beautifully presented family home has been extended and comprehensively refurbished by the present owners creating an adaptable house ideal for intergenerational living. A spacious sitting room of over 20 ft in length has sealed unit double glazed doors on two sides opening onto east and south facing decked sitting areas. A well appointed cloak/shower room lies adjacent to a generous family room which also has access to a separate east facing decked sitting area and these rooms could be used as a separate ground floor suite for older family members if required. The kitchen/dining room is the focus of everyday family living with south facing bi-folding doors onto the adjacent broad decked sitting area with steps down to the lawn. The kitchen has been fitted with an extensive range of matching units and an excellent range of integrated appliances including fridge/freezer, dishwasher, induction hob and eye-level fan assisted oven. The hallway from the kitchen provides access to a separate utility room which keeps the white goods away from the main living areas. It also provides internal access to the integral double garage.
On the first floor the staircase splits into two, leading to east and west landings. The generous bedroom accommodation includes four bedroom suites, each with their own shower room and two having deep walk-in wardrobes. A fifth bedroom is served by a dedicated bathroom alongside.
An ornamental wall with lighting flanks the entrance to a generous stone shingled driveway and approach providing ample casual parking to the north west of the house and access to the integral double garage. Well established gardens of about half an acre ensure a high degree of privacy and are predominantly south facing. Sealed unit double glazed doors and bi-folding doors open from the main reception rooms onto a broad, raised deck to the south and east of the house providing plenty of sitting areas looking out over the lawned garden. Evergreen shrubs and fir trees surround the garden providing plenty of privacy whilst a magnolia grande flora and other specimen trees provide attractive focal points. A manageable vegetable garden with two beds set in paved surrounds lies to the west of the house with two useful garden sheds.
