Description

Set along the ever-popular Caughall Road, this charming Victorian terraced home effortlessly combines period character with a stylish and modern finish, offering a fantastic opportunity for first-time buyers, downsizers or anyone looking for a home with warmth, personality and excellent convenience, thanks to its central Upton location. Desirable schools, shops and pubs are all within walking distance, whilst the City is just a short drive away or via regular bus services nearby. From the moment you arrive, the property has an inviting feel, with its attractive traditional frontage just oozing with kerb appeal, whilst internally the accommodation is well balanced and full of character, with high ceilings, generous room sizes and plenty of natural light throughout.

The ground floor offers a hall with stairs to the first floor, whilst a welcoming lounge is cosy yet spacious, having a large window to the front elevation and a Victorian fireplace to create the perfect focal point. To the rear, the kitchen/dining room provides an excellent entertaining space, making the layout practical for both everyday living and hosting guests with rear access to the back garden. The kitchen is beautifully fitted with a stylish arrangement of wall and base units, providing great storage and ample work surface space. The dining area provides plenty of space for a table and chairs and is set off with the perfect example of true character, the feature inset bread oven!

Upstairs, the property continues to impress with two well-proportioned bedrooms accessed from the landing, the generous principal bedroom spanning the front of the house. The stunning bathroom boasts a four-piece suite, to include a walk in shower, wc and wash basin, and in true keeping with the character – a gorgeous roll top bath.

Outside, to the front is driveway parking for two vehicles as well as a patio which catches the afternoon and evening sun, to the rear courtyard garden enjoys a private aspect and offers a lovely space to sit out during the warmer months, with enough room for outdoor living, without becoming too difficult to maintain.

A wonderful example of a Victorian home that has perfectly retained its charm whilst providing practical living spaces, and a stunning finish to suit to modern lifestyles.

The Seller's View

The house is full of character and original features from the fireplaces and bread oven to the finials at the front door. It really is unique and what I fell in love with when I first viewed it. I’ve felt so lucky to live here for 9 years and I’ll be leaving with a heavy heart. The yard is a sun trap and feels very peaceful and private. And for evening sunshine, the front patio is the perfect spot. The driveway comfortably fits 2 cars which is a huge benefit. Having the zoo on its doorstep is a gift and with The Oakfield pub/restaurant now open Friday and Sunday evenings, it’s lovely for an end of the week glass of wine or Sunday roast. The shops and post office across the road are very handy too. To top it off the neighbours are lovely. I hope the next owner will be as happy here as I have been!

WANT TO MOVE BUT NEED TO SELL

If you are interested in this property but need to sell your own home, Carman Friend would be delighted to discuss how we can help. Please contact us at any time to arrange for Samantha Carman or Gareth Friend to have a chat about this! How many times do we talk about service? In a strong market most properties will sell… but how many people come away unhappy with the service? Being passed from pillar to post, bad communication, conflicting advice, poor marketing material, dealing with different people each day who don’t actually know much about the property. At Carman Friend it is our sole aim to provide an “intentionally different” service, you deal with one of the directors from the moment we meet you, until the day you hand the keys over. Don’t just take our word for it… Please see why so many choose to use us at
