Description
Gorgeous, very large, sunny, light, unfurnished, ground floor flat with garden, N4, available from 19 August
The flat is in Wilberforce Road, a quiet, tree-lined street near Finsbury Park and Arsenal tube stations (Piccadilly & Victoria lines) - Highbury is less than 10 minutes walk up the road, Stroud Green less than 10 mins, two parks nearby (Finsbury Park and Clissold Park), Kings Cross and Eurostar just 2 tube stops away, Oxford Circus 20 mins from the door - and Highbury or Stoke Newington with even more restaurants is about 10/15 minutes walk. There are lots buses nearby too - to Camden, Whitechapel etc, as well as central London and mainline trains go from Finsbury Park directly to Cambridge, Gatwick, Brighton and more. The house was built c.1870 and was converted to two flats in the 1970s. Both flats are kept in good condition.
Key Features:
- 1 bedroom
- I bathroom
- Unfurnished
- Garden
- Bills exclusive
- Onstreet parking (via Hackney council)
You enter the flat though it's own well lit front door to the right of the house into a small hallway. On the left is a door to the cellar, then a storage cupboard and a door to right goes into the bathroom. The door straight ahead leads to a large, very high-ceilinged living area, with high shelves and set back space (great for TV etc) - and to the right is the kitchen, with built in cupboards, fridge/freezer, small dishwasher and another storage cupboard with a new Vaillant combi boiler, and a door leading to the garden. The living area has an extra high window so the whole flat is light filled but stays cool as most windows are double glazed.
The living area has two stairs up to double doors leading into the very large bedroom with c. 12 foot ceiling, original coving and a bay window, beautiful mahogany parquet floor and a built in cupboard, extra hanging space and large original wooden shutters.
The kitchen leads out to a lovely sunny south-facing garden: a perfect suntrap. There is a good size bathroom with shower fitting and a cellar for simple storage and another storage cupboard in the hall.
NB The photos start with that flat as it is now furnished by current tenants, then some of the flat empty before they moved in. The cellar is more full now, but it is important not to store too much here as it needs to keep aired and is not 100% dry.
Parking
Outside there is on street parking for two cars, with allocated permits available for purchase directly from the council. There are secure bike garages on the street that can be applied for.
