Description

Nestled at the end of a private driveway in a secluded plot this THREE BEDROOM DETACHED BUNGALOW has been a treasured home for our clients for over 45 years and enjoys peace and tranquillity yet is conveniently positioned for access to local amenities.  Elevated from the gardens and approached over a large, decked sun terrace, the principal accommodation benefits from a sunny southerly aspect and the dining room flowing seemlessly into a conservatory which opens out onto the terrace.   A gated parking area leading to a detached garage, as well as level lawned gardens complement this lovely home.

The Stones is enviably located on the periphery of Torquay, making easy access both in and out of the town. Local shops at both Barton Hill Road and Moor Lane are a matter of minutes away, with more comprehensive amenities found nearby at the Willows, home to a host of national stores including M&S, Sainsbury's, Boots and Next. Picturesque walks can be found nearby at Brunel Woodland, or by crossing the Teignmouth Road at the end of Moor Lane toward Watcombe Beach and the South West Coast Paths leading toward Shaldon to the north, or St Marychurch and Torquay sea front to the south.

OWNER INSIGHT

"Having lived at The Stones for nearly 50 years and created lots of fantastic memories here, it has been very difficult for me to make the decision to move, but with a heavy heart I now feel that the time is right for me to downsize and move closer to family, enabling any new owners to enjoy the attributes that the bungalow will offer them. Over the years I have found the bungalow to be an extremely comfortable home for me, easy to manage, with a good size private garden and I have enjoyed many a sunny day relaxing in the sunshine on the decked terrace. The location has been wonderful. Set at the end of a private driveway away from the road I have benefitted from a high degree of privacy yet had the convenience of a parade of local shops being within walking distance and a regular bus service just around the corner. This is certainly something that I will miss when I make my move."

STEP INSIDE

From the gated driveway steps rise to a sizeable decked terrace from where a double glazed front door opens to the RECEPTION HALL with durable wood effect flooring and loft access hatch. SITTING ROOM with feature fireplace with basket coal effect gas fire, durable wood effect flooring and patio doors to the front decked terrace. DINING ROOM with porthole window to the side and the durable wood effect flooring which is followed through to the CONSERVATORY enjoying views over the garden and with doors to the terrace. The KITCHEN/BREAKFAST ROOM is fitted with a range of units and work tops with inset sink, built-in electric oven, ceramic hob with cooker hood above, integrated dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Utility cupboard with provisions for washing machine and further cupboard housing the gas boiler. Wood flooring, windows to the front and side and door giving stepped access to the driveway.

BEDROOMS & BATHROOM

BEDROOM 1 is a double room with window to the rear, built-in wardrobes, top cupboards and dressing table unit. BEDROOMS 2 & 3 with rear aspect and both with built-in double wardrobe and overbed cupboards. All bedrooms also have the durable wood effect flooring. STEP OUTSIDE

The front garden is laid to an almost level lawn sweeping around to the side of the property and continues to the rear of the bungalow where gated access leads back to the front.
