OWNERS' INSIGHT
"We bought the apartment in July 2021 as the show home, intending it to be a space where we could relax and unwind, with the option of holiday letting periodically when not needed for personal or family use. It has worked beautifully on both counts. Sitting on the terrace looking out over the fields to the sea is the perfect way to switch off, and the holiday letting has more than washed its face over the years. Maidencombe is such a peaceful spot, with the South West coast paths literally on the doorstep leading to Torquay or Shaldon in either direction."
STEP INSIDE
From the secure communal entrance, a private door with spy hole opens to the reception hall with storage cupboard and door entry system. Oak flooring flows through to the open plan reception space, bathed in natural light, where wide tri-folding doors and a further door connect the terrace and garden, with views over the rolling Devon hills to the sea. The kitchen is appointed with high gloss white fronted cupboards, matching worktops and a deep blue glass splashback, induction hob with oven beneath, one and a half bowl Franke sink with retractable mixer tap, washer dryer, dishwasher and fridge freezer. A cupboard conceals the Worcester gas boiler. The principal bedroom looks over the private garden to the sea, with a contemporary en suite shower room with rainfall head and body spray. The second bedroom is a generous double. The family bathroom is appointed with a P-shaped bath with rainfall head and body spray over, curved glazed screen, WC and wall hung basin.
STEP OUTSIDE
A particular feature of this property is the private and extensive garden. A paved terrace runs the full width of the apartment, giving side access where there is a water tap. The terrace leads on to the main lawned garden with further tiered patios over three levels, bordering open fields and enjoying spectacular views over the surrounding Devon countryside to the sea. The development also provides an allocated parking space, together with cycle and bin storage areas.
