Description
Newly for sale is our beautiful period ground floor flat located a stone's throw from both the bustling shops, cafes, bars and restaurants of Gloucester road, and also the tranquil and green St Andrew's park.
The sash windows, high ceilings and cornicing give the flat it's character and, on a more practical level, the massive amount of storage it has sets it apart from other one-bed flats in the city.
You enter through the front door shared with the first floor flat above. As you enter the flat itself, you step into the living area with exceptionally high ceilings and gorgeous cornicings. The sash bay windows let it so much light and it is very spacious as both a living area and work space.
The kitchen is a functional space with an immense amount of storage, an induction hob and electric oven. There is also a dishwasher integrated.
The bedroom is really big and the high ceilings allow for 2 extra large storage cupboards. We turned the built-in wardrobe into a 'nook' for our little one (photos to follow), but have kept the door should the new owners wish to close it back off.
The bathroom is also spacious with a bath, shower, sink and washing machine, along with even more storage.
We had the windows replaced with double glazing and uPVC and are awaiting our updated EPC to reflect this. The flat is now super cosy in the winter as well as nice and cool in the summer.
To the rear of the property is a private garden with a large shed. The entire garden that previously belonged to the property when it was 1 building has been split into 3 so each flat has their own garden. This makes the flat stand out as most with a private garden around Bristol are basement flats, compromising on light, however we are lucky enough to be ground floor, flooded with natural light, whilst also having our very own garden!
Parking is free on the street and we've never had an issue getting parking on our road.
This flat has been our home for just over 2 years now, so decor is relatively recent including new carpets throughout. If we could stay in this flat forever, we absolutely would, but our family is growing so we are in need of an extra room. The community along North Road is warm and friendly and we have made friends for life in our neighbours. We will be very sad to leave.
