Billericay wins top billing for fun

The Billericay area is home to a fantastic array of family attractions and leisure activities all year round. The town is a winner at all levels, being not only such a short distance from London, but on the edge of rural Essex with so much to offer.

With many historic buildings and places of interest highlighting the two prosperous periods in Billericay's colourful past, the Tudor and the Georgian eras, there is much to see and do.

The future looks bright in Billericay

Property in Billericay is diverse and interesting with a variety of traditional houses, such as those built in the Georgian period, still beautifully preserved.
However, it's not all about the past. Billericay has continued to grow and prosper, with many new housing and commercial properties being built.

Some have now been converted to suit the needs of today's market and together with new build developments, flats and family semi and detached villas, the market maintains an interesting mix.

Shopping in the town is excellent, offering large supermarkets, unique independent shops on the High Street and, of course, the nearby Basildon Market, a veritable treasure trove for knick-knacks. Good restaurants and pubs are not hard to find either.

Getting around is not a problem

Billericay railway station forms part of the National Express East Anglia (NEEA) route from Liverpool Street station on the Southend to London route. For drivers, it is close to two (2) primary routes, the A127 in the South and the A12 in the North. The town's close proximity to all London airports makes it extremely convenient for air travellers.

Being just 35 miles east of London's city centre, Billericay is an ideal location for commuting to work in the capital. With its many local attractions and colourful heritage, along with its short distance from coastal resorts, it certainly offers residents the best of all worlds.
