    Our services

    Firefly Property Services Lettings Department is able to offer a three step service to our clients. This comprises a Tenant Find Service, Collection of Rent or Full Management. Our experience and local knowledge in the property field gives our Clients reassurance. For some, being a landlord is a daunting prospect but through our guidance we can turn this into opportunity.

    It is important to offer good quality accommodation whether it is a one bedroom property or mansion. Preparation is the key to being a good Landlord. Tenants are staying longer in their rented accommodation and after all it is their home during their tenancy. It has become extremely popular for purchasers to take advantage of renting a property whilst looking for their dream house.

    The new Letting Guidelines require us to give full information regarding our charges for Landlords which are as follows:-

    We use Deposit Protection Service (DPS) to hold the 5 week deposit.

    Our redress scheme - we are a member of the Ombudsman.

    We are not a member of a Client Money Protection scheme.

    LANDLORD

    Tenant find only - One month's rent plus VAT - for example at £1,000.00 PCM our fee would be £1,200.00 to include VAT.

    Plus referencing fees at £90.00 inclusive of VAT per adult.

    Tenancy Agreement £150.00 inclusive of VAT.

    Check-out fee - to be advised depending on size of property

    Inventory - we recommend an independent inventory company where charges are made by the size of the property starting at £90.00 plus VAT.

    Our Management Fees are structured on the size of the property from 10% - 13% plus VAT per calendar month. For example at £1,000.00 PCM rental income we would charge 10% - £120.00 to include VAT with a £500.00 set up fee as an additional cost which includes referencing the tenant, right to rent check and tenancy agreement.

    Inclusive in our tenant charges - three inspections per year.

    Our redress scheme - we are a member of the Ombudsman.

    We are not a member of a Client Money Protection scheme.

    Hannah Jones, Lettings Manager
    Hannah started her career working at Gatwick Airport for Easy Jet which gave her a wealth of experience working with the general public - joining a corporate estate agent in 2005 and progressing to work for a new build company in 2008. Joining Firefly in 2011 working in lettings Hannah has worked her way to Lettings Manager looking after a portfolio of clients and tenants offering vast experience to any potential landlord who is looking to rent their home.

      Firefly Properties Charity Golf Day

      This year's Firefly Properties Charity Golf Day was at Dale Hill Golf & Country Club on 20th October 2017 and their nominated charity was The Lymphoedema Support Network (LSN).

      Chris and Carol Prier are Directors of Firefly Properties (Paddock Wood) and good friends of Trustee Matt Hazledine and his wife Vicki. They were thrilled to support the LSN, with all profits from the golf day going to the charity.

      Chris and Matt spent many hours over the previous months contacting potential sponsors, recruiting friends and family to play golf for the day and asking for prizes. Their hard work paid off as the event ran like clockwork!

      The day was supported by local businesses of all sizes, from Land Rover, Porsche and Waitrose to Independent Pension Specialists, Goodwin Pest Management and Crabtree Consulting.

      Chris Prier said "We were genuinely overwhelmed by the generosity of our friends in local businesses who either entered a team, sponsored a prize hole like nearest the pin or longest drive, sponsored a standard hole, or provided wonderful prizes for the Auction, Silent Auction or Raffle."

      Carol Prier added "The day was a huge success and the weather was warm and sunny for our 80 golfers which made the day even more enjoyable. Those who joined us for the evening meal and entertainment had a fantastic time too."

      Firefly Properties were absolutely thrilled to announce that the total amount raised, of which 100% is donated to the LSN, was an amazing £8,176.00.

      Matt Hazledine and the LSN would like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to the Firefly Properties team for all their continued support and for the incredible amount raised at the golf day. People are amazing!
