    STAGE ONE - Valuation

    We provide a free, no obligation valuation service throughout the Plymouth area. Our aim is to provide you with a true reflection of your property's value and not to unrealistically enhance it in a bid to obtain your instructions dishonestly. We have vast experience across the city.

    STAGE TWO - Instruction

    Once we are instructed to sell your home we will create full property particulars to include high quality photographs, floor plan and EPC together with a punchy description in order to enhance your home for prospective purchasers.

    STAGE THREE - Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)

    This is undertaken by James Wildman our in-house Domestic Energy Assessor who will make contact with you to arrange an appointment. He will also produce the architectural floor plan.

    STAGE FOUR - Live Marketing

    Once we are happy with the sales particulars and photographs we will go live, very often within 24 hours. Our properties are advertised on all the major property portals such as Rightmove, Zoopla, OnTheMarket and Primelocation. We have an extensive database which is updated daily and your property will be matched against these buyers on a regular basis to ensure that no stone is left unturned in our bid to find you the best possible buyer.

    STAGE FIVE - Let Us Take The Strain

    At Julian Marks we believe our personal service is second-to-none and unlike many other agents we accompany all viewings and provide feedback within 24 hours.

    STAGE SIX - Agreeing A Sale

    Once offers are made and a sale has been agreed we assist you in choosing the right solicitor to ensure a smooth sales process through to completion. When a buyer is found, comprehensive checks are made to ensure that we see proof of funds, a mortgage agreement in principle and full chain checking if applicable. A thorough investigation at this stage can highlight potential problems before solicitors are formally instructed.

    STAGE SEVEN - Progressing The Sale

    Julian has been serving his local community as the definitive property expert during the last three decades.

    He has a close affinity with the area, its people and property and is passionate about his position and responsibility to his clients and customers. His meticulous attention to detail and desire to provide truly first-class customer service sets him apart from his contemporaries.

    Julian's passion is supported by his sons Henry and George. Julian and his family are actively involved with various sports clubs in the area - in particular Plymstock Albion Oaks rugby football club and St Mellion Golf Club. His passion and loyalty sits in the heart of the community in which his dedication and commitment remain paramount.

    Steve Allen
    Steve has been an agent within the Plymouth area for more than 30 years. Most of this time based within Plymstock and the surrounding areas.

    Steve grew up in Plymstock and has been connected to this area through sport and work ever since. Steve deals with both sales and lettings and heads up the very successful lettings team. Steve has been an integral part of the management team in Plymstock for 13 years, helping to keep Julian Marks the most successful sales and letting agent in the area. Steve is always happy to help old and new clients alike.

    When he is not working, Steve enjoys going to the gym and a social round of golf. He also organises the sponsorship of Plymstock Cricket Club where he played for many years.

    Rachael has worked in estate agency for the last 9 years and really enjoys helping customers with the sale or purchase of a property. Rachael is a local girl having lived in Plymstock all her life and has a great knowledge of the surrounding area.

    In her spare time Rachael enjoys keeping fit by going to the gym, socializing with her family and friends and visiting new places.

    Henry joined the firm after finishing sixth form at Ivybridge Community College.

    Henry enjoyed his apprenticeship and is looking forward to a fulfilling career at Julian Marks Estate Agents. In his spare time, Henry plays rugby for Ivybridge 1st and 2nd teams. His other hobbies include keeping fit at the gym and skiing.

    Leigh Carson
    Leigh has been working for Julian Marks for a little over a year having had a 28-year gap from agency. Leigh has a background in law and felt the draw to return to estate agency. She loves interacting with people and is passionate and excited by agency work so Julian Marks is a perfect fit for her.

    When Leigh is not working, she enjoys playing netball and going away on holiday as much as she can.

    Hannah Donnington
    Hannah formed part of the original team at Julian Marks when they first opened in 2011.

    Hannah spent 5 years enjoying the diversity and success as a sales negotiator. In 2016 Hannah relocated to Edinburgh for 3 years and had the most incredible time experiencing all that Scotland has to offer. Back in Plymouth, Hannah returned to Julian Marks and joined the lettings team, which she thoroughly enjoys.

    Hannah grew up in Plymstock and lives with her husband and two children in Sherford. In her spare time, Hannah loves to travel and is a keen member of the gym.

    Elliot Gray | Marketing
    Elliot is our in-house marketing expert and is responsible for all our social media as well as various other graphics and materials. This ensures greater coverage for all our properties further expanding the quality of service Julian Marks provides. 

    Outside of work, he enjoys keeping active at the gym, visits to Cornish coastlines in particular Carbis Bay and keeping creative. Elliot's passions are supported by his Plymstock family and partner Emily.

    Penny works, alongside Katy, as the office administrator, helping prepare the property details and website material along with providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the office. Penny joined the team in 2020, having changed career from research in order to follow her interest in property.

    Penny lives in Ivybridge with her husband and 2 children and when not working enjoys long country walks and watching football.

    Tracy has worked in estate agency for the past 20 years and has extensive experience in all aspects of the job from arranging viewings, agreeing sales and following through sales progression. Tracy has recently switched to working in lettings side of the business and is really enjoying herself - you never know what your day will be like! Tracy has lived and worked in Plymstock all her life and enjoys catching up with past clients as well as meeting new ones.

    In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and walking along the beautiful coastal paths and national trust walks both here in Plymouth and in Cornwall.
