Buying a property is stressful, but Chewton Rose, and especially Steven Field, made the process very smooth. Steven consistently and proactively kept us up-to-date on any issues and todos, promptly answered all of our questions and followed up with vendors, surveyors and solicitors. We came into contact with Chewton Rose after our original house purchase fell through. We'd dealt with a pushy estate agent in that process who was still in the picture for a host of reasons. We'd seen the house listed with Chewton Rose online already, but we hadn't been to see it. Fast-forward to our first viewing with Steven Field, and it was a breath of fresh air. Firstly, the house sold itself, absolutely amazing. My husband had said yes just from the pictures. We found Steven to be calm, relaxed, he wasn't pushy and he just left us to look around the house. He came across very professional and not at all like the other estate agent. After we'd finished viewing it, he didn't try to sell us the house, and left it in our court if we had follow-up questions or if we wanted to view it again. We viewed the property a second time with Graham Nash, with the owner present. Graham, like Steven had a very nice manner about him and facilitated conversations, and we put an offer in. We later spoke to Graham by phone and a price was agreed. We got a really genuine feeling from Graham that he wanted to do best by his clients, and trusted him in the negotiations between us and the seller. Steven continued with a lot of background work, chasing solicitors and trying his hardest to get the sale through before the stamp duty rise, which we managed. We can't recommend Chewton Rose enough. Their style isn't pushy and they're very personable people who we would happily deal with again in a heartbeat. 

Steven was a great help in getting us to a point of exchange, I could not have asked for a better person to help me through the process.

Steven was not even my estate agent, but he did more proactively to get the sale over the line, than my estate agent. He doggedly chased all solicitors in the chain to make sure we achieved completion and helped manage expectations through difficult times when the chain nearly collapsed. Above and beyond to the point where I bought him a bottle of Moet to express gratitude.

Despite the frustration and inconvenience caused by the vendor's upstream delays in confirming the completion date, Steven has been extremely helpful in chasing the completion date on my behalf. Not only did Steven find us a truly beautiful property which in itself it a huge challenge, it was how he conducted himself afterwords that blew me away. My move was a complex chain and involved me selling two houses to be able to purchase my forever home. Stevens actions, conducted and professionalism was simple the best in practice. He was on the ball with everything throughout the complex chain. He delivered without fail every time and was ahead of the field by a clear mile.
