If you are looking to sell a property, House & Son are absolutely outstanding estate agents and we cannot recommend them highly enough!We had the great fortune of being personally recommended to contact the excellent Sharon Gould at House & Son by someone who, at that time, had recently used her to sell his home. He was very familiar with several estate agents in the area, yet specifically recommended House & Son. We now fully understand why he did so and would ourselves recommend anyone who needs an estate agent to contact them. We have been dealing with them for the past 11 months or so in relation to the sale of a property in Poole, which completed recently.Sharon Gould - with the assistance of the very professional Doug Gates - has been utterly amazing throughout. We have rarely come across anyone as committed, efficient, helpful and friendly. This was not a particularly easy process for us, because the property had been rented for in the region of 75 years and we had little personal knowledge of the property. It was also a disadvantage that we currently live abroad and also do not have much knowledge of the Poole/Bournemouth area. Those factors combined could have made this an extraordinarily difficult process. However, Sharon's unfailing excellence in assisting us with everything to do with the sale made this whole process considerably easier than we could ever have imagined.Sharon's efficiency was something to behold. Within only a matter of days after we had first discussed putting the property on the market and at what price, Sharon had already visited, taken photographs, put together a brochure and placed the property up for sale on the Internet. Because of our lack of knowledge of the property, and our lack of presence, Sharon also very kindly inspected the property, helped us with things such as gas, water and electricity supplies and readings and dealing with everything in connection with the sale. The property also unfortunately needed to be re-marketed when the previous potential purchaser pulled out. Sharon's helpfulness, efficiency and enthusiasm to push forward with the second sale was nevertheless just as impressive as with the first. She demonstrated her outstanding qualities in that process too. She was also able to give very practical advice in relation to which offer we should accept and why. Selling a house was not something that we had done before and this was invaluable to us.Yet it was not simply the assistance that Sharon gave to us that was so impressive. She also followed up - in her incredibly efficient way - with other parties connected with the sale to enable this to go through. She liaised not only between us and the purchaser, but also with all those connected with the purchaser who needed to act so as to ensure that our sale could take place. For example, when it came to the second purchaser, they needed to sell their flat before they could complete on our house. Sharon seemed to be chasing everyone connected with that other sale as well, just to ensure that that could go through smoothly so that our own home could be sold!The manner in which Sharon kept us fully informed of every step in the process was also incredibly impressive. The telephone conversations that we had with her at various stages were also really helpful - with my wife emphasising how comforting it was to hear Sharon uttering the words "Leave it with me" on several occasions, which meant that we were able to relax about the next steps. And every time that we did so, everything worked out really well!In short, we cannot emphasise enough that our experience with House & Son was absolutely outstanding. I was looking for a property to purchase in Bournemouth, being based in Kent I knew this would be challenging. I found a couple of properties on Right Move that House & Son listed. I arranged a number of viewings with House and other agents on a weekend in February 2020 (pre-COVID-19). Doug from House & Sons was our first viewing of the day and was really helpful. There was no hard sell and Doug helped us with the info I needed on the local area, potential future value and rental incomes. This is exactly what I wanted. As it happened, the first property seen was the one I selected. I put in an offer that was accepted by the vendor then lockdown started. Doug and Sharon were SO helpful through the numerous delays I experienced on my side with finance arrangements and down valuations on my other property. They kept the vendor updated throughout and I felt very lucky to have them working with me because I'm sure another agent would have just walked away and found another buyer.
