Tayler & Fletcher, Stow-On-The-Wold

Since PJ had kindly offered to undertake all of the negotiations for the sale of SG out of our hands, we have not been in touch with you or with any of the staff at Tayler and Fletcher personally. However, we felt that we did want to add our own message of appreciation for all that you and your firm have done to manage the sale for us. We had originally bought the house through Tayler and Fletcher in 1980 and so it seemed very right when Mr J. guided us back to you thirty three years later! May we also ask if you would pass on a special word of thanks to Joan Wedgwood for her care in organising the complex business of clearing the house - which could otherwise have been a nightmare for us. Firstly, to place on record my thanks for a truly insightful, thoughtful and very useful valuation of the fields. As you will have seen form Alistair's instructions there was much we did not know or understand about the fields - but needed to understand in order to decide whether and how to proceed including costs involved in fixing as well as ongoing maintenance costs. To put it mildly we needed more than valuation advice and were looking for someone with real practical expertise to hold out hand. All of this your Report did with great clarity. It was also helpful and important that you were willing to attend our Patrons meeting and express yourself with clarity and conviction. As a retired solicitor involved in property matters, I have rarely seen such a truly useful Report that indicated a clear understanding of what your Client needed - so thanks to you and your Partner. Dear Edward Right from the beginning we have been extremely impressed by the helpfulness and dedication which you have given us over the sale of our Farm. We are certain that no-one could have done more than you, Ruth, Alex and Joan to guide us through this very dramatic event in our lives and we shall be eternally grateful for all that you have done.
