Asking prices in Wales buck the national trend by increasing 0.9% in July
New sellers coming to the market this month in Wales have increased their average asking prices by 0.9%. This bucked a trend across the UK where fresh property stock came onto the market at 0.6% less than the previous month.
London prices fall by 1.7% as new stock jumps
Fresh property continued to flood onto the market in London over the past month, creating some downward pressure on new sellers’ asking prices. This month they have reduced their price aspirations by -1.7% (£7,349) compared to June.
Sellers drop asking prices for the first time this year
An early indication of where prices are headed in the second half of 2010 was presented this month with new sellers dropping their asking prices for the first time this year, down by 0.6% (£1,435).
