New sellers coming to the market this month in Wales have increased their average asking prices by 0.9%. This bucked a trend across the UK where fresh property stock came onto the market at 0.6% less than the previous month.
Fresh property continued to flood onto the market in London over the past month, creating some downward pressure on new sellers’ asking prices. This month they have reduced their price aspirations by -1.7% (£7,349) compared to June.
An early indication of where prices are headed in the second half of 2010 was presented this month with new sellers dropping their asking prices for the first time this year, down by 0.6% (ÂŁ1,435).
