There is evidence that house price confidence is steered by their interpretation of mortgage availability.
More than a third of respondents (35%) expect house prices to be higher one year from now.
Rightmove’s latest Consumer Confidence Survey finds that nearly half (49%) of current tenants are of the opinion that average rents will be higher 12 months from now, providing more evidence of the continued strength of the rental sector.
Although first-time buyers numbers in Wales remain down on traditional levels, the upturn offers an encouraging sign that things may be improving.
