Most of the sales in West Sussex over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £625,914. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £392,900 and terraced properties averaged at £325,205.
West Sussex, with an overall average price of £430,224, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby East Sussex (£415,840), but was more expensive than Hampshire (£387,867) and cheaper than Surrey (£603,681). The most expensive area within West Sussex was Mannings Heath (£1,076,591) and the cheapest was Tangmere (£312,981).
In the past year house prices in West Sussex were 11% up on the year before and 16% up on 2018 when they averaged at £372,170.
